Talk to us
For most businesses it is 30 May 2026 — the deadline to report Scope 1 and 2 emissions for the 2025 reporting year. Large emitters (0.5M tonnes CO₂e or more, Scope 1 and 2 combined) had to register with the National Register for Carbon Credits by 28 June 2025. MOCCAE has indicated the 2026 date may be extended, but no revised date is confirmed — plan for it.
Yes. The Federal Climate Law explicitly applies to all entities operating within the UAE, including every free zone. There are no exemptions based on your company's location within the country.
Financial penalties range from AED 50,000 to AED 2,000,000, and are doubled for any repeat violation committed within a two-year period.
The law applies to all GHG-emitting sources regardless of company size. The most intensive requirements target large emitters first, but all businesses will be impacted — especially as larger partners begin demanding emissions data from their entire supply chains.
We generate reports aligned with UAE Net-Zero 2050 requirements, plus international standards including the GHG Protocol, IFRS S1 & S2, GRI and SASB. UAE-focused outputs include a MOCCAE Scope 1 & 2 PDF and an IEQT export to help prepare mrv.ae submissions. MeNetZero supports the preparation workflow — it is not a government submission channel and cannot guarantee regulator acceptance.
Scope 1: direct emissions (vehicles, on-site fuel, refrigerants). Scope 2: purchased energy (electricity, district cooling). Scope 3: all other value-chain emissions across the 15 GHG Protocol categories (travel, commuting, supply chain, waste, investments). MeNetZero tracks all four accurately.
Each emission source has a guided form that asks only for what's on the document in front of you — total kWh from a DEWA bill, litres from a fuel receipt, tonnes from a waste report. For a full year of data, download the bulk Excel template: it includes your location names, a reference sheet of every valid activity and unit, and calculators that turn a staff list or flight log into the totals you need.
No. Scope 3 is reported as one total per category per year — that is how audited reports disclose it. All employee commuting is a single figure; business flights are one figure per travel class. The bulk workbook includes two calculator sheets where you can keep the per-employee and per-trip detail, and they add it up into the totals you upload. Your working stays in the file, so next year you only update the numbers.
You can start tracking within minutes of signing up. Our guided interface and AI tools categorise your emission sources automatically — most businesses have their first carbon footprint report within 24 hours.
Yes. We offer API integrations with popular ERP systems, energy-management platforms and accounting software, and we support CSV/Excel imports and automated data feeds to reduce manual data entry.
We use internationally recognised emission factors — DEFRA 2024 and IPCC — alongside UAE-specific grid values by emirate. Calculations follow GHG Protocol standards, and every entry records the factor, GWP version and method applied so any figure can be traced back to source.
Your emissions data belongs to your organisation. Access is controlled by role-based permissions you define, data is encrypted in transit, and nothing is shared without your explicit consent. You can export your full inventory to Excel or PDF at any time on a paid plan.
Yes. Audit mode preserves full data lineage — every reported number traces to its source document, with approvals, version history and reviewer notes. Auditors get a read-only workspace to verify figures directly.
